This is the rule to form Direct Object in tamil :
>>Most of nouns ending in - உ is formed by adding ஐ .
Examples >
Noun Direct object
உணவு Unavu ( Meal ) உணவை Unavai
கதவு Kathavu ( Door ) கதவை Kathavai
>>Nouns ending in இ , ஈ and ஐ , the D.O is formed by adding யை
Noun D.O
பெட்டி Peddi ( Box ) பெட்டியை Peddiyai
தீ Thee ( Fire ) தீயை Theeyai
சட்டை Chattai ( T shirt ) சட்டையை Chataiyai
>> Nouns ending in all other vowels add வை in ending :
Noun D.O
அம்மா Amma ( mother) அம்மாவை Ammaavai
பூ Poo ( Flower ) பூவை Poovai
D.O USAGE :
நான் உன் அம்மாவை பார்த்தேன் Naan un ammaavai parththen ( I saw your mother )
